Peter Bay serves as Vice President of Project Development for Distribution-Scale Power, where he is responsible for project development activities. Peter joined EDF Renewables in 2015 and has contributed in project development and origination roles on over 150 MW of solar or solar + storage projects. With more than a decade of experience in the renewable energy industry, Peter has supported a diverse set of renewable technologies including wind power, hydropower, and solar PV. He was a lead contributor on the first run-of-river Archimedes Screw hydropower installation in the United States.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Endicott College and is a Certified Energy Procurement Professional.
Myles M. Burnsed, Vice President of Strategic Developments, joined EDF Renewables in 2014 and currently leads Distributed Scale Power’s market strategy, key accounts, and new market development efforts. Myles has over a decade of experience in renewable energy and has held senior leadership positions in engineering, operations, and business development. Since 2009, he has personally originated, developed, engineered, or contracted nearly 1 GW of solar projects across more than a dozen states. Myles is responsible for originating and developing some of the solar industry’s landmark projects including the largest distributed generation solar project in the country and the largest portfolio of projects for a cooperative in the United States. He has also played an important role in establishing the solar industry in several states including Florida, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Oklahoma.
Prior to entering the renewable energy industry, Myles was a Senior Consultant Engineer at FM Global where he managed and assisted a $5 billion book of clients in identifying and solving risk management challenges. He holds a BS in Chemical Engineering with High Distinction from the University of Virginia where he was elected a member of Tau Beta Pi and an MBA from the Darden School of Business where he received the Faculty Award for Academic Excellence.
Carl joined EDF Renewables in 2015. Carl currently leads the Operations and Maintenance team at Distribution Scale Power operating a portfolio of over 200 MW across the US. Since joining the team as a Field Service Technician and transitioning to Field Service Manager, Carl has implemented processes, procedures, and software solutions to accommodate rapid growth of the O&M business at EDF.
Prior to joining EDF, Carl worked in the solar industry in varying capacities for 10 years. He has overseen the installation of hundreds of residential and commercial solar installations.
Carl graduated San Juan College with a Degree in Renewable Energy and is a NABCEP-Certified Installation Professional.
Gina S. Khanna serves as Senior Counsel and Corporate Secretary of EDF Renewables Distributed Solutions, Inc., and is responsible for all aspects of the Company’s legal affairs, with an emphasis on development, project financing and construction.
Prior to joining EDF Renewables Distributed Solutions, Gina was an associate at Sidley Austin LLP, focusing on mergers and acquisitions and commercial transactions in the energy industry. Gina holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Naveen Lakshmipathy is Director of Structured Finance & Strategy for EDF Renewables Distribution-Scale Power business. In his role he he is responsible for asset divestitures and project financing. Prior to joining the Distribution-Scale Power team in 2021, Naveen worked with the Grid-Scale Power group of EDF Renewables for nine years. Most recently, Naveen focused on M&A and cash equity partnerships; he has closed transactions totaling over $1 billion and taken to market over 2.5 GW of wind, solar, and battery storage projects. Previously, he worked to structure tax equity and debt transactions, securing approximately $1 billion in capital on over 750 MW worth of US and Canadian wind assets.
Naveen holds a BA from UC Berkeley, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
Lincoln Lande serves as EDF Renewables Distributed Solutions’ Vice President of Business of Development, where he is responsible for project origination. An attorney by trade, Lincoln served as a Project Development Attorney and later Director of Business Development at groSolar, a company acquired by EDF Renewables in 2016.
Since 2014, Lincoln has originated and developed 100+ MWs of distributed generation projects now in operation across the country. He has played an active role in all aspects of the project development cycle, from conception through development and construction.
Lincoln holds a BA from Skidmore College and JD (focusing on Environmental law) from Vermont Law School.
Rod Viens leads the Distribution-Scale Business Unit which includes solar and storage projects across North America. Prior to joining EDF Renewables, Rod was the Executive Vice President of Operations of groSolar, a company acquired by EDF Renewables in 2016.
Rod joined groSolar in 2008 to lead the direct residential and small commercial installation operations as well as the product distribution channel. His development and project management experience has included multi-residential, commercial buildings, schools, and utility projects ranging in size from 100 kW to 35 MW.
Prior to joining EDF Renewables, Rod was Vice President of Operations and Business Development for Yankee Barn Homes, a nationally distributed post and beam home manufacturer, where he established and oversaw the installation construction division and was charged with improving overall company processes.
