SAN DIEGO, (September 13, 2013): EDF Renewables today announced it has closed on a Master Supply Agreement (MSA) with Vestas for up to 750 MW of wind turbine generators. The agreement covers the supply of Vestas V100-2.0 MW turbines for multiple U.S. projects beginning construction in 2013.
“This agreement builds on the longstanding relationship between our two companies in Europe, as well as recent collaboration in North America through the Blackspring Ridge project in Alberta,” commented Ryan Pfaff, Executive Vice President of EDF Renewables. “With the MSA in place, EDF Renewables is well positioned to progress key U.S. wind projects that will support near-term domestic manufacturing and construction jobs, and provide competitively priced, clean energy for our nation’s long-term energy security.”
EDF Renewables’ U.S. portfolio spans 16 states with 4,000 MW of developed projects and an installed capacity of 1,962 MW.
