Toronto, Ontario, July 10, 2012 – EDF Renewables Inc., an EDF Energies Nouvelles Company, today announced it has completed the divestiture transaction of four Ontario solar projects with Fiera Axium Infrastructure Canada L.P.
The portfolio, consisting of four 10 MW solar projects located outside Ottawa, delivers electricity to the Hydro One Networks Inc. distribution grid. Energy is sold to Ontario Power Authority pursuant to a 20-year Standard Offer Contract under the Renewable Energy Standard Offer Program. The two St. Isidore projects are designed with thin film PV modules from First Solar. The two Elmsley projects are designed with polycrystalline PV modules from Suntech Power Holdings Co.
“We are pleased to enter into this agreement with Fiera Axium Infrastructure,” said Tristan Grimbert, President & CEO of EDF EN North America. “The transaction contributes to EDF Energies Nouvelles’ business model to maintain a balanced portfolio between growing its own portfolio of assets while continuing to help fund the development of new renewable energy projects throughout North America. enXco Service Canada will remain active in the projects, providing operation and maintenance services under 20 year agreements.”
